Tension leg

Standardization and industrialization of top-sides for bottom fixed and floating wind turbines can lead to significant cost reduction for both alternatives. One installation vessel can be used for the standard top-side, which may also install most of the foundation types shown above.

The "deep water" bottom fixed jacket can extend the range for such structures as no jack-up is needed for turbine installation i.e. it is bridging the gap towards floating wind and may be used from 50 to 100 meters water depth.
