The Hydrostatic Structural Connection Technology (HSCT) is developed by Arild Bolsø Engineering in Tønsberg (Norway). The company is now seeking partners/investors to help develop the technology further and to take it through necessary design phases, prototype testing and full scale demonstration.
A separate Norwegian entity, HSCT AS will be set up together with partners and the IPR will be fully transferred to that new company. The early phase development of this technology has been financially supported by Innovation Norway.
Current business model is to own the IPR and license this to e.g. offshore wind farm developers, foundation designers or EPCI contractors etc.
The IPR for HSCT is related to the hydrostatic connection technology and methods of how to mate the structures together. For the installation vessel and crane solution, no patent application is submitted and crane/vessel designers are welcome to develop these ideas further.
